Dr. Martin Chung (EUAP Research Assistant Professor), Thomas Steigler (EUAP PhD Scholarship holder at the University of Hong Kong ) and Jędrzej Górski (PhD candidate at the Chinese University of Hong Kong ) attended the 2-day workshop “The EU in the 20th Century” held at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. The workshop brought together 22 representatives from the EU centres in the Asia-pacific region and 29 graduate students to present their papers.Dr. Chung was acting as a discussant for one of the graduate student presentation session. Thomas Steigler presented a paper on “Accommodating to an emerging human rights player? Recent trends in EU-China human rights diplomacy” while Jędrzej Górski presented a paper on “The Proposal for the EU Regulation on More Uniform Common External Trade Policy with Regard to Public Procurement”.
